How do I set up and use Chatbot AI?
Chatbot AI adds a chat widget to any or all pages of your website, allowing web visitors to send you questions and capture key contact information. Our Chatbot uses AI to automatically respond in real-time to frequently asked questions about your business. The Chatbot AI reduces the time your website visitors spend looking around for answers to basic questions. It also lets you focus your time on responding to more complex questions.
Setting Up Chatbot AI
Go to the ‘Settings’ tab by clicking the gear icon on the top right of the screen.
Navigate to the ‘Inbox’ section and click ‘Chatbot AI.’
On the new screen, select the ‘Widget.’
Ensure the Chatbot AI is on; it will appear on the website where it’s installed. You can toggle the switch to disable the Chatbot AI.
Using Chatbot AI
In the ‘Settings’ tab, navigate to the ‘Business info’ section and select ‘FAQs.’
On this page, you will view three different tabs: FAQs, Links, and Files.
Adding FAQs
In the FAQs tab, you can add frequently asked questions and their answers. These will be integrated into the chatbot, which will display the answers whenever a user asks related questions during a web chat.
Click ‘Add FAQs.’
Click ‘Generate FAQs using BirdAI.’ It automatically creates FAQs based on your profile, links, and files on your website.
When you click’ Generate FAQs using BirdAI,’ a drawer opens on the right side of your screen with 50 FAQs generated via BirdAI. You can review the generated FAQs, select and unselect the FAQs you want to add, select the location(s) where you want to add these FAQs, and click ‘Add’ on the top right side of the drawer to include them.
You can select ‘Add FAQs’ manually to add FAQs one at a time.
Enter the question and answer. Once done, click ‘Add’ to include the FAQ.
Select ‘Bulk import’ to add FAQs in bulk by importing a file.
Click ‘Sample spreadsheet’ to download the spreadsheet.
Open the downloaded spreadsheet and enter questions in the first field, with answers right next to it. It is also mandatory to enter the ‘Location hierarchy and Location value’ (Third and fourth columns).
To access the ‘Location Hierarchy’ and ‘Location value,’ refer to the ‘Location Hierarchy’ tab.
Save the spreadsheet, return to the Birdeye web portal, and ‘Upload spreadsheet.’
After uploading, click ‘Next.’
Review the data uploaded under the ‘Spreadsheet preview’ and click ‘Next.’
Click ‘Start import.’
The import is complete.

Navigate to the ‘Links’ tab to view up to 20 SEO links already added. Click ‘Add links’ to add more links.
Select ‘Add links manually’ to add links to your website, help center, or support pages one at a time.
Select the location where this link will be applied, enter the link in the URL section, and click ‘Add’ to include the link.
Click ‘Generate links from sitemap’ to automatically fetch links from sitemap.
A drawer opens on the right side of the screen. Select the location where you want to fetch links from the sitemap, click ‘Fetch,’ and you will view the number of links found below. Select or unselect the links, and click ‘Add’ to include them in your Links tab.
Click ‘Bulk import links’ to add links in bulk.
