How to use Social in the Birdeye Mobile application?
Social media managers want to manage their brand’s social media presence on the go, quickly capture moments, create engaging content, and schedule posts directly from their mobile devices. With Birdeye Mobile, users can click photos from their mobile, create social media posts, and send posts on the go for approval. Publish across locations and accounts even when you’re away from your desktop or laptop.
MOBILE APP: You can download the Birdeye app from either the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play Store (Android devices) or by scanning the QR code below.
Post Creation And Media Attachments
Step 1 - Login to the Birdeye App and tap ‘Social’ on the bottom navigation rail.
Step 2 - Tap the ‘+’ icon.
Step 3 - Tap on ‘Select social account.’
Step 4 - Select the desired social accounts by using the toggle switch.
Step 5 - Tap the ‘Pages selected’ and select the desired pages under the social accounts where you want to post the content.
Step 6 - You will land on the Select Pages section. You can also search for specific social pages by entering the page name on the search bar, after selecting tap on ‘Done.’
Step 7 - Alternatively, tap on the ‘Filter icon.’
Step 8 - Use ‘Location filters’ to look for particular social pages under all or different locations, and click ‘Apply.’
Step 9 - Tap ‘Done’ once the social channels and pages are selected.
Step 10 - Click ‘View’ to view the posting checklist.
Step 11 - Enter the content under the ‘Initial content’ section, which will serve as master content for the posts you want to share. This content will be applied to all the social channels selected. In this case, it is Facebook and Instagram.
Switch to the ‘Instagram’ tab, and you can edit the content specific to the Instagram post. The changes will not be applied to the other tabs, such as the 'Facebook or Inital content' tab.
Click the ‘Gear’ icon.
You can select if you want to publish this Instagram content as ‘Post, Reel, or Story.’ Click ‘Done’ after selecting.
Similarly, you can go to the ‘Facebook’ tab, modify the content, and add media specific to the Facebook post.
Step 12 - Click the ‘Camera’ icon on the bottom left to select media files.
Step 13 - By clicking on the ‘Camera,’ you can either click a live picture or record a video to add to the post. The ‘Photos’ section will allow you to upload the existing photos on your phone to the post, and the ‘Videos’ section will allow you to upload the existing videos on your phone to the post.
Note:
Users need to grant permissions to the camera and gallery for the Birdeye Mobile app.
Step 14—Tap Photos, select the photo from your media/gallery, and it will appear as follows.
Click the ‘Edit’ icon, portrayed as a pencil icon over the photo to edit camera or gallery images according to the specifications of various social media platforms.
Users can crop and rotate images before uploading them to social channels and also use predefined crop ratios for quick editing.
Click the ‘Personalize’ icon to add tokens to social media posts.
Add tokens such as location name, address, city, zip code, etc.
Post-Scheduling and Approval Workflows
Step 1 - Tap on the ‘Arrow’ in the top right corner
Step 2 - Select ‘Schedule post.’
Step 3 - Select the date and time to schedule the post, then tap ‘Select approval workflow.’
Step 4 - Select or search for approvals.
Step 5 - Tap on ‘Schedule & Submit.’
You will receive a message at the top ‘Your post has been scheduled and submitted for approval.’
Edit and Reschedule Post
Step 1 - Tap on the post you want to edit under the Social calendar.
NOTE:
Drafts created with master posts on the web can also be edited via the mobile app
Step 2 - You can view the post details on this page as well as send a reminder to approve to the approval team.
Step 3 - Tap the ‘Calendar icon.’
Step 4 - You will be able to reschedule the post from here. Select the date and timings, then tap on ‘Reschedule post.’
Step 5 - Tap on the menu icon portrayed as three horizontal dots ‘...’
Step 6 - You have the option to ‘Delete or duplicate’ the post from here.
Step 7 - Tap the ‘Pencil icon.’
Step 8 - This will enable you to edit the entire post from reselecting the social channel/pages to edit the content.
Step 9 - Once the changes are done, tap the ‘Arrow icon’ in the top right corner.
Step 10 - Select ‘Save & Schedule.’
Step 11 - Select ‘Yes’ if you want to schedule the post for the same time when the post was created initially.
Step 12 - Select ‘No’ if you want to change the date and timings of the post.
Filters
Step 1 - Tap on the ‘Filter icon’ in the top right corner.
Step 2 - View post by ‘Location,’ ‘Social channel,’ ‘Post status,’ ‘Approval workflow,’ and ‘Creator’ of the post.
Step 3 - Tap the ‘Refresh’ icon to refresh the Social calendar feed.
Step 4 - Tap on the ‘Calendar’ to view the scheduled post for the current date.
The icons displayed at the top of the post represent social channel icons where your posts will be uploaded.
The ‘Orange color clock’ icon indicates that the post is pending approval.
