What are the steps involved in creating a survey?
Birdeye allows you to create customer surveys within your account and customize them to generate essential feedback. You will also have the ability to manage multiple surveys and read the survey reports based on customer feedback.
MAIN PAGE APPEARANCE
To create a survey, click on the 'Surveys' tab on the left navigation rail of your Birdeye account. Once you are on the 'Surveys' page, you will see one of the two-page types:
- If it is your first survey, click on the 'Create a new survey' button.
- If surveys have been created in your account earlier, click on the ‘Create Survey’ button. You also have the option of searching for a survey name and cloning the survey from the three-dot icon options.
When a window pops-up, you swill be able to select 'Standard' or 'Pulse' surveys. To know more about the types of surveys, read the help center article: What different types of surveys can I create within Birdeye?
In this case, we are selecting a standard survey as an example.
On the new page, you can customize your survey. To edit the survey name, click on the 'Pencil' icon next to the survey name. The drop-down 'Page actions' tab allows you to add a page title and new page to the survey.
For your survey, by default, you can view two sections:
- Page 1 of 1 allows you to add survey question types and build your survey.
- The last page allows you to customize the review request page.
ADDING PAGE TITLE
Click on the "Page actions' drop-down button and select 'Add page title'. To edit the page's title, you need to click on the text box under the 'Page title' field and enter the title you wish to add. At any point, you have the option to delete the page using the 'Bin' icon at the bottom.
ADDING A PAGE
To add a new page, click on the 'Page actions' drop-down menu and select the 'Add page below' option. You can add a page title to every new page added. At any point, if you want to delete the page, click on the drop-down menu again and select the 'Delete page' option. When a pop-up window appears on the top of the page, click on the 'Delete' button to confirm your action.
ADDING SURVEY QUESTIONS
Click on the 'Add question' drop-down menu to add a new question type.
As you increase the number of questions in your survey, you can use options to make the survey much smarter. You can move the placement of questions with the up and down arrow key. You can also use the 'Options' drop-down to add "display logic' or 'skip logic' to your survey.

ADDING REVIEW REQUEST
The last section allows you to customize the message on the 'Thank you' page. Here, you can request the customer for reviews and feedback as well. To proceed, click on the 'Add review request question' button.
Once complete, you have the option to preview the entire survey questionnaire by clicking on the 'Preview' button.
